When Should I Reserve My Dog's Holiday?
- Peak seasons like Easter, Summer and Winter holidays book up 3-5 months in advance. Boarding availability is limited over these periods, so advance bookings are highly suggested to ensure your pets have a spot with the BowDog pack.
What's Included in the Cost of Overnight Care?
- Boarding fees include daily meals, toys, bedding, crate, daycare and walks. All pets in the BowDog facility require a martingale collar and personalized ID tag with their name (both can be purchased in the BowDog store). If your pet does not have them at check in, we will outfit them and add the collar and tag to the final bill at check out, it's that easy!
What do you feed my dog?
- We feed Alberta-made Acana Pacifica, a fish based and grain-free kibble. It's delicious, nutritious and a majority of dogs in our care transition to it very well. Beef or lamb based kibbles cannot be substituted if your pet has allergies and cannot eat our kibble, please bring your own. When you come for a tour of our facility, we'll gladly give you a sample of our complimentary kibble to try at home.
But my dog requires a special diet or has allergies...
- If bringing your dog's own food, it must be pre-packaged into meal sizes and are fed at an additional charge of $2.00 per day. Medication administration and injections are included, no additional fees apply.
What time should I drop my dog off?
- Dogs boarding at BowDog can be dropped off any time, but we suggest avoiding 10:00am-2:00pm. This allows our team of pack leaders to provide enough exercise and play time for your pooch to able to relax over nap or dinner time.
Facility tours are available 7 days a week between 12:00pm-1:00pm

*Check out time is 12:00 noon daily, daycare charges apply if your pet is picked up after 12:00pm
*Effective June 15, 2012, clients that do not make reservations 24 hours in advance (before close the day before) will be charged a $5.00 walk-in fee.
BowDog is closed for pick-ups and drop-offs on the following long weekends. We are still open and active operationally with a full staff dedicated to the wonderful dogs in our care.
